Not content with furnishing we mere mortals with the celestial single of the year thus far in the Amber Coffman-featuring Get Free, Major Lazer (or just Diplo for the sake of nominal clarity) here team up with Pennsylvanian popster Kevin Michael, the duo combining to create a Bajan banga by the name of Cherry Bomb. An ulcer-inducingly tongue-in-cheek vid comes courtesy of Major Power Productions’ Doreen Pastures in which Michael thrusts his pelvic parts immoderately and mildly indecently to the sound of grammatically questionable constructions all in the name of rhyming coherency. “I can’t wait ‘til I get you out them clotheses/ Girl, you sweeter than some mu’fuckin’ roses” he enthuses mid-gyrate with another spank of the pubis. He seems a hoot and Cherry Bomb sounds something like a hit.
